The Suffering and Hope found at The Eye That Cried

“The earth, Pachamama, cries as she watches what her children do to each other.” Today at The Eye That Cries labyrinth, our volunteer guide stirred our hearts with tragic stories of the suffering of the victims of the Peruvian Civil War. Yet, as she implored each one of us to treat others with dignity so that these horrific events don’t ever happen again, we were left with such hope. All felt the significance of the moment as we placed our flowers at the stone of Sister Irene McCormack, who was killed in the conflict.
